My fiance and I will be getting married at the end of October of this year and we would like to honeymoon on the Chippewa Flowage. I am hoping to get some information from personal experiences of people that have stayed on this body of water. I have only been on the water here once and we stayed at Tiger Musky Resort so I do have info about that place.
We would like to hear about other places to stay. A couple of things we are looking for is to have our own cabin, to be on the water, and either on the lake tie up for the boat or boat landing on premises. If you prefer to PM me please do so. Also if more info is needed from me please ask.
Thanks!!

The waterfront cabin my family and I stayed in was great at Chief lake Lodge... Chieflakelodge.com

I am a big fan of either Deerfoot Lodge or Treelands. I like Deerfoot's view of the lake, but both are excellent, top-notch choices. When we were there last year Tatum, at Treelands was great, as well as, Amanda at Deerfoot. My top two choices on the Flowage.

Thank you for the info thus far. After reviewing the subject more there are a ton of options but the suggested ones sure seem to stick out quite a bit. We appreciate it.

Tiger Musky is the best resort we have found in that area so far. Have not stayed at Treelands but it sure looks like a great place.

Dave, Indian Trail Resort is the place your looking for a Honeymoon. The owners John@ Brenda were married on the point off Pine Island.not far from thier resort. We like the log cabin and spent many vacation weeks there over the years. the cabins on the lake frount and your boat is on the dock were you can see it from the cabin with electric for charging. nice little bar near by for a pizza and a beer. Check to see if their open as the resorts on the flowage start to close the end of OCT. for breakfast and a evening dinner head north out of New Post up CC past Herman's landing, Golden Fawn and Sisko's Pine Point and then take a right on Twin Bay Rd . to R@R Bayview Resort for the best breakfast and dinner on the Flowage . Best of luck on your new life a week on the Flowage is a great way to start. Also if you whant for best Rubin Sandwich anywere and great mixed drinks take CC west out of New Post past the HIDEOUT to NN north to just befor the Spillway Take Chief Lake RD. to Pats Landing take a left to find your way to Schultz's Great little hole in the wall. Twin Bay Resort has a small, one bedroom cabin on the water with its own dock. The cabin is old but the place is clean and everything works. Bathroom with hot water, toilet & shower. Kitchen with stove, refrig, sink, and a 2-person table. They call it the honeymoon cabin & 2 people fill it up. My girlfriend & I have spent a week there several years. It comes at a nice price, Sue & Ponch are very nice owners, too.

My wife and I enjoyed our honeymoon at Indian Trail resort in september of 1992. My wife is not that big of a fisherman, but she thought it was a perfect way to decompress after the buildup and planning of the wedding. Quiet slower pace and quite a few fond memories. We offered a piece of our wedding cake off the dock to the resident ghost chiz-ui-aw still waiting for the payoff on that one. No wait 20 years of wedded bliss will have to do. John and brenda will take care of you.
