Location: Ogden, UTAH 10 minutes from pineview reservoir | Just curious how everyone does with using dawgs to catch tigers? I fish a tiger only lake and have only caught one throwing a super d, just curious how successful other are with big rubber for tigers and what baits work best for you. As of now i am throwing regular dawgs, super d's, mini dussas, mid-dussas and 8" tubes..
thanks for any insight |

| I really don't throw Big Joes much anymore, but I've caught quite a few tigers on them...
A few years ago I must have found a pack of them because we caught over half a dozen tigers in a lake they're kinda rare in a matter of days on Joes. 2 43s, and a bunch of 3 footers.. I probably catch 20 or more pures to each tiger in this lake, so the amount that have eaten the joes seems significant to me..
The year before that I got a 40"+ tiger on a Joe too.
If I were going somewhere with only Tigers it would be one of the first baits I'd try. |

| I had a real nice one on a 7.5" ninja tube using the jerk bait rig. This year I am trying a heli-dawg and a mini-d. |

Location: Oregon | Here in the state of washington smaller baits work best.............small swimbaits, small spinner baits, small jerkbaits.

| They tend to bite the size of bait you throw most. BR |

| Don't expect to get more than 3 fish from the soft 4 play.
The action is Nice though, properly the only product savage gear managed to copy fairly okay. |

| ive done well on pike and tigers with the 4play but beware...I like the baits a lot but the components on them are sh*t. If you get them, put new split rings and hooks on them. On back to back casts I had 2 25-30" pike straighten barbs on the hooks and then pull the split ring apart. |

| I throw alot of dawgs and Big Joes, but have caught way more Tigers on Big Joes then on the Dawgs. Especially all white or yellow ones have caught alot of tigers in years past we don't hardly have any tigers left here in Madison waters anymore

| If you have trout in the lakes, mag dawgs have been great for tigers. Going to try pounders this year, with only small baits you are really missing out. |

| I agree, I have always done well with larger baits even out west. I recall pewaukee fish "tended to prefer smaller baits" but I did well with 10-12 inch baits there as well. BR |
