| I have a Revo Toro 60 5.4 that I have thrown DC10's with. I have read that the Winch would pull them easier, concerned about not being able to burn them easily with the Winch. I have not put on and tried the power handle yet. Does the power handle make a big difference? I have read that some other brands make power handles that might make a bigger difference on the Toro. I am going to get a new TI XXH to throw pounders and above at the Minnesota show. Might put my Revo on that and thinking of getting a Winch for my Cowgirl rod or just buying another 5.4 to put on my Cowgirl rod if the Winch is too slow for burning. I am okay with the 5.4 with Cowgirls, but if I could take a little stress out of my hands with a Winch or a 5.4 with a power handle, it would be nice. Thanks. |

Location: Lake "y" cause lake"x" got over fished | You can't burn blades with the winch. It makes reeling them easier, yeah. But at only 22" per crank, your not going to get any good speed out of it. Id stick with the 5.4.
This is just me, but I put the power handle on the Revo (I also own a 5.4) I hated it. So I took it off and went back to the paddle. However it would be nice to find something like a power double padle for it, that would be much better. |

I use a Revo Toro 50 (5.4:1) for big blades with the "Trinidad 12/14 handle recessed with improved counterweight" from Dave's Reel Service. It makes a huge difference in reeling in hard pulling baits...MUCH easier! Here is the link if interested. Scroll about 1/3 of the way down the page to see the handle. http://www.davesreelservice.com/pages/power-handle-upgrade.php |

Location: Yahara River Chain | The Revo Toro's Power handle vs double paddle handle. They are the same throw so one would not be better than the other - mechanically. However many prefer the feel of using the power handle over the double paddle one. |

| On the "old" revo toro the double paddle and the power handle was the same length so no difference there but, there are quite a difference on the Toro NACL double handle and power handle. The NACL power handle should make it alot easier. |

Location: Eagan, MN | I'll second the tn 12/14 handle. I used one on a 6.4 HS last year. I also used a 700te handle on the same reel, and it was even better for power, but will engage on the cast if you're not careful. I'll be trying the nacl high speed this year. |

Location: West Metro, MN | I originally bought a winch for double 10's but after about 2 days of using I traded it for a 5.4:1 Toro. The winch was just too slow for me. If i need to slow it down a little it is easier for me to just crank slower with the 5.4:1 than it was to try and speed up the winch. Both really good reels, but the addiitonal power of the winch wasn't worth the trade off in versitility of the regular 5.4:1. I really like using the power handle, but i do feel that it is somewhat personal preference. |

Location: sneaking out to get on the water ;-) | Another vote for the toro NaCl 5:4. It's power handle has the extra throw. |
