| Just picked up my first amma bamma and was super excited to get it out on the water and see what magic i could get it to do. Do my dismay, all i could get it to do was a foward belly roll. Is it "broken" or is their a certian way to get better action.? After talking with a buddy of mine that has 2 he laughed and said thats really all his do too. Its hard for me to believe!!

I am sure he thought the bait would actually do something. |

| Just because it doesen't glide like a Manta doesn't mean it won't work.
Give it time! |

You bought the version that just "ammas" ... You have to pay a little extra to get the "bamma". |

| I am using a 7ft xh jerkbait rod, with solid 8 inch solid wire leader as i usually do with most jerkbaits i use. Tim I believe most baits have some magic to them, you just have to rub them the right way. |

I normally like a single strand with loops on both ends (or loop one end and solid ring on the other) and in most cases that works great, but the way the Amma Bammas roll, they often roll over and I use a swivel on one end and a loop or solid ring on the other. |

| A buddy of mine has 2 amma bammas and they work like crap in the water... They do just what youre describing. Funny thing is he caught a fish on one of them even though they look soooo bad in the water. If you want a good hand made glider thats similar get some smuttley dogs. I have 5 of them and they all look great in the water and the glide properly. |

Location: New Jersey | I have a couple Amma Bamma's that have ZERO action as well. They're overpriced and worth their weight in wood as far as I'm concerned. I'll take an HR Shaker or pretty much anything else over an Amma Bamma any day. |

| Feel free to send all of your Amma Bammas that "don't work" to me, i'll pay for the shipping!
As i said, who says baits MUST glide far and wide on each jerk? |

Location: New Jersey | Forget "far and wide." They stay perfect straight no matter what I do and repeatedly pop out of the water. They are not the "floaters," but no matter how long I let them sink, they are too buoyant and wind up breaking the surface once I start working them. |

| I bought one 5 or so years ago and it was just like that, no action. Overpriced and disappointing. Haven't given them a second look since. I do like smuttlys though. Good baits. |
