Location: Grantsburg, Wisc | I picked up a pair of TX44 boards with QR18 clips but now I'm wondering if I should go with larger planer boards that are run off a pole mounted in the bow of the boat.
Or should I stick with the boards that run off the line ???
Thanks guys

Location: WI | If you want to spend a lot, go with a mast. I have no problems using Offshore boards, and that's what a lot of guides use. |

Are the Offshore better than the Church boards then ? |

Location: Eastern Ontario | Both work well I have the same ones you have but have used both. I like my friends Church in the next size down to the 44 just as well if not better they will pull a 10 inch Believer without trouble. We run the boards so they don't pop free. Sometimes the back pin on the Church boards will freeze in below freezing temperatures. |

Location: Ludington, MI | I will tell you why I sold my mast: Wave action. I troll Lake Michigan quite a bit for browns and steelhead and while I can troll in 3s and 4s, I don't want anyone walking out on the bow in those waves. The mast systems have their advantages, but I prefer the walleye boards. |

Thank you.
I have the walleye boards also but figured they were too small to handle my Headlock and other huge, hard pulling baits.
Thanks
