True story....yesterday I dropped me truck off at a Merchants Car Care Center here on main street...called this morning to see when it would be ready, the dude told me it should be early afternoon...after a food fest at a local steak house, the assorted sponges cruise by the place to pick up the above vehicle(6:50p.m.), thinking it was ready...not only was it NOT ready, it was NOT THERE!!!! spongette drove slowly past each bay, but me truck was nowhere to be found; we went through twice + the parking lot too, but NO TRUCK...pretty daggone strange eh??? I was having an intake valve gasket put on...any ideas as to what might have happened? They were closed, or at least pretended to be...this type stuff happens on a regular basis, but usually not on this grand a scale![:(]

Well Sponge, if you need to replace that car, here's one to consider:

LOL DUDE! Looks better than the one I got now![;)] I just drove back down by there thinking maybe they had given it a test drive...still not there. It's an '87 F150 short bed, gun metal green; sucker runs like a dune buggy in the sand + I miss her already! spongette wants me to sell it, but I just sold me Burb 3 weeks ago..should have kept it but just can't part w/ the truck...if it pops up on EBAY, let me know![:0]

* The truth is, a months worth of worm medicine for the family was under the front seat, and we're due for another dose...[:blackeye:]

If things get out of hand I'll have to send down my "right hand man".

Sponger,
The Spongemobile is a mechanically special case, so it was sent out for a custom fit gasket...yellow.

Dude, couldn't get pic to show up! I'll go back there tomorrow + see if it is there; if not, I'll assume it is as Stever says, getting "yellowed" up. Odd you say that- we saw a bright yellow Frontier truck over a year ago + little sponge wants us to get one...not a bad idea, but then I'd have to black spot it for realism! Will be interesting though to see what happened to it...there is always the possibility it was "borrowed"....[:sun:]

After the lawyers get done suing, for pain and suffering, from the loss of such a loved one, you'll be behind the wheel of a 2003 canary yellow Hum V.[]

Make sure that the cash award for your "pain & suffering" or
"relief & jubilation", as the case may be, is large enough to include a custom colored yellow metalflake Tuffy Esox Magnum in your settlement!![]

Wow, these 6 megapixel pics are so big, I had to print and scan them in order to get them up. Now you know the rest of the story.

Got home a few minutes ago...message on machine says it will be ready tomorrow(Monday)...have to fix a leak in the timing cover...3 daggone days...it was in the back of the shop...anyone know what's involved w/ a timing cover? [:(]

The timing cover covers the timing, and if it's leaking, that means there's fluid coming out. They'll repair the leak and it won't be leaking anymore and it'll be fixed. Does that help? []

Lol Mungo! Went by there yesterday, but they had closed + there was a note on the front seat informing me that they could finish this last thing in the morning...3rd time I've had old green down there for basically the same thing...a lesson learned the hard way is a lesson learned![:0]
