Location: Contrarian Island | i have every issue except one my dog chewed up ...  just so happened it was the one cpainter and i had an article in. d'oh...they are great to go back and read articles at certain times of year or patterns/areas/etc

| I thought about trying to collect every issue. Some day I'd like to have a quality color scan of each mag cover, lay them flat on some paneling and do a nice epoxy clear over the top. Then screw them to the wall of my man cave. Musky Hunter wall paper.
I always buy the current year's calender on clearance every summer when I go to St. Germain. Love the artwork and some day they'll be plastered over my man room walls. |

| I have the first 5 years of them---had them all at one time but after reading and looking at them a few times I fiqured WHY !!! Seems like most of the articles repeat with a different writer every few years. Kept the old ones just to put in the case with some old lures/reels and such. Good magazine and I still read it every issue--I just don't need to collect them. |

Location: NorthCentral WI | Using a Xacto knife down the binding, I cut articles that I want to keep out of all the different magazines I get. Then I put them into a 3 ring binder sorted by species and furthermore by season. Works great. I also have printed copies of a bunch of the DNR lake maps as well as other maps all in the binder. It's my Bible. |

I like keeping my old issues of MH, In-Fisherman, etc. It's fun to go back and look at the trends of the yesteryear and some of the ads are pretty cool, too.
It's also helpful to go back and read about methods that were popular 20 years ago that aren't today. Sometimes, if you're in a rut and it seems that the fish have wised up to the modern ways, one of those old techniques might pay off. |

Location: Minnesota: where it's tough to be a sportsfan! | I just gave my grandson some of the old M.H. and a stack of the old Fishing Facts mags. He brought back the first stack and said he had read through them. I am impressed if he can get through even 10 over the winter he will have more to practice once the water gets soft than he will have time for. I think another kid by the name of Jim got wired and fired by reading Fishing Facts too. |
