Location: Elgin IL		Lot of talk on batteries and I need a new starting battery
I know some of you guys have 618s...what size starting
battery fits in the tray ...group 27 or 31

Location: Hudson,WI		I run an AGM 24, but I'm sure a 27 would fit. From what I was told by the guys at cabelas, a 24 and a 27 are essentialy the same thing, but the 27 has thicker plates so it makes for a better trolling motor battery. But it works well for a starting battery as well.
