Anyone now har far north open water is, except for spring lake. I know spring is open but what about evergreen, McMaster or storey. Only have to drive down there two years in a row to find ice and have to settle for spring lake before I realize I should find a new approach.... Maybe by asking here?

Todd, you are correct 0 fish in Shelbyville. I would highly recommend not going there.

before you you up and pull out of the garage I would get some REAL information. There are some inside jokes being played here by "locals" trying to deflect pressure, most of what you read above is false.

Not sure who you get your info from but a buddy was just there yesterday and still had to break 4 inches of ice in some places and has yet to see another musky boat.

Taken straight from Larry's Fishing Hole updated on Monday 3/11:
- Ben, the coach for Cuba High School Bass Fishing Club, took six team members to Johnson Lake at Banner Sunday morning. There was still ice on lake east of ramp along with the cold, rain and despite throwing everything but the kitchen sink, they hooked no Bass and only had only a couple weak strikes or lure pick ups.. Corey (pictured) did manage to bring in two Muskie
on a deep diving crankbait
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sounds like open water and muskies being caught to me.

I don't get too excited about 27" fish. Why is your info coming from a website? If people are catching fish like you say why are to out there? Sounds like you're luring people to lakes for your own info
