He has hundreds of pictures of his clients and he can give you a date, name and details on every fish caught. | Tony Rizzo has probably helped more people catch their first muskie and their biggest muskie than any other fisherman, writer, speaker or fishing personality. I have been reading his articles, books and listening to him speak for 40 years and still learn things when I listen to one of his seminars.
Tony has innovated many of the tools and tactics we all use today to catch muskies. He was the first to write about weighting jerk baits, he was the first to make maribou buck tails, he was the first to make tube style bucktails. And he wrote about using large bladed buck tails for certain conditions 40 years ago.
Many people claim to be pioneers in fishing deep water suspended muskies, but Tony was certainly the first one to write about it. Tony's record on big fish is amazing. He has probably caught more 30 pound muskies form Wisconsin inland lakes than any other fisherman living or dead. While many fisherman are running to Canada and Minnesota to catch trophy fish, Tony is still quietly catching them at home in Vilas County. One of his clients caught a 37 - 38 pound muskie in Vilas County in 2012. Definitely worth going to see him talk. |

Tony will be speaking at 1pm, He will be in the Ross's Sport Shop Booth before and after he speaks on Saturday signing books, he will also be in the booth on Sunday, So if your in the Phillips WI area this weekend stop in the Phillips High School and talk musky, It's free to the public, There are a lot of craft vendors there as well so bring the whole family!!!!! |
