| I was wondering where you guys usually place your weight on crank baits? I was thinking of placing it just under the lip, sort of at an angle towards the back or top of the lure and also right behind the belly hook. The reason for under the lip being that weight in this spot would help the bait "dig" better on the initial retrieve to get it diving to the proper depth. Any thoughts? | |

Location: PA | I always put my lead at the deepest point of the belly, and my hook eye just in front of that. The lip is going to do all the work as far as diving goes. My cranks run true every time with this method. | |
