I'm just trowing this out there for discussion:
I'm wondering how many builders would be interested in a get together at some point? I know some of the saltwater guys do it yearly and it seems like a lot of fun. I'm thinking possibly a hotel banquet room where builders could meet each other and make contacts, trade wares, share ideas, set up demos, give short how to's etc. And at the same time enjoy some food and beverage.
I've learned so much from all of you and I know a lot of others have made this a way to get through the long off season and still stay connected to their fishing passions. If there was enough interest I would be happy to do what I can to get the ball rolling.
I'm super interested in if others are interested. At the same time if there is such a thing I am ignorant and unaware and hope I will be invited sometime
Best

Sounds fun, I’m interested. How about we all practice up on our dorado, mackerel, mullet, and pilchard patterns and charter some boats in the Keys or Cabo right now for the event?  Who can hook us up with a sponsor to pay for it all?  Maybe one of those saltwater tv shows would like to have us all down

I'm interested. It depends on location and time of year though!

Wow Mike, sounds like you really know your saltwater stuff
It's just a thought, not sure how much work it would be or even the amount of interest. I know at some of the shows/expos I really enjoy talking with some of the other builders and hearing about how they build, other than that I'm not well versed. i have the day off and got to thinkin' a little

I would definitely give it some serious thought, depends on where and when though.

Michigan Musky shop is having an annual swap meet musky show combined with free booth space. He has 7000 square feet heated, clean with bathrooms. We just attended the first one and it was a great two day event. With no booth cost this the basement bait makers dream show. Contact Jason at Michigan Musky shop to reserve a booth for next year.
