Does anyone know if i could add a kicker - T8 to this boat? Are they designed to accept a kicker?
And I mean safely without it causing any damage with the added weight.
Thanks

We have a 186 Reata 2010 and were investigating putting a kicker onto the boat. After talking with the dealership and ranger we found out that by putting a kicker on the back of the boat it will void the warranty. The transom was not designed to support a kicker and will mess up the way the boat planes and moves on the water.

That being said, on our trip up to Eagle Lake last year we pulled into a parking lot and parked right next to another ranger reata 186 owner. They had put a kicker on their boat. So in short, it is doable, (anything is doable) but it does void the warranty. As was mentioned before hit them up with an email and they will tell you if it is possible or if there is a mounting plate for your transom. Best of luck.
