I am going to be painting up some smaller crankbaits (6 inches and less) and I am wondering what's the best to coat the bait with afterwards. I use envirotex on the larger baits that I use but with the smaller baits I am wondering if the envirotex will throw off the action. Just curious what you guys all use.

I use etex on husky jerks. It didn't hurt the action. As long as you use a thin coat or multiple thin coats you should have no problems.

I use a 2-part epoxy on all of my baits, down to 4". It's thicker than Etex and I do 3 coats without any issues. You should be fine.
