Stick with the Toro reel. Save yourself a headache. It is worth the extra 100 in both piece of mind and saved frustration.

I would've bought one, but it said lefty only.

Are we talking the musky sized winch or the smaller sized winch?

I cast right, reel left (as the good Lord intended) and I can tell you that I'm going swimming again in the UP this summer for the Toro my young son dropped when he almost fell out of the boat. I bought the Lexa and it's OK, but I want my second Toro back. I had two and I'd kill for the other one back.

The most annoying thing about the Lexa for me is that it starts squeaking after the line gets good and wet. Have not been able to solve it.

Have not experienced the squeaking issue with my lexa... Although have heard at least one other member mention that same issue.

I also have a toro and it is a better reel for sure... as the price indicates. That said, I have been very happy with the performance of my lexa for the price I paid. It is a great casting and smooth reel. I appreciate the extermal, mag adjustment on the reel also. I guess time will tell how durability goes. As it is right now, I'd buy again.

They can't be compared, toro hands down. From what I have heard from friends the lexa has a good base to improve on though.
