| I cant explain the feelings I have felt this past week. First it was elation and joy in catching my personal best musky this past weekend in NC! A beautiful 50'' x 26.5'' fatty!!!! This was all crushed when my camera went overboard trying to take a self timed pic of me and the monster(I almost ended up in the water as well)! So I had to settle for some low quality pics on my dinosaur cell phone! I then briefly felt (few days after release) that maybe I should have kept the fish since it was a potential NC state record. However I remembered, that this waterway, presumably, relies on natural reproduction for its population. And, this was probably a breeding female. Again, please excuse the lousy pics. Lesson learned and carry an extra camera! I think a replica is in order!

| Congrats on the fish! I would go buy a new power pro camera right now and throw it into the river for a 50 incher.
I read somewhere that an old NC state record was caught on a Storm Big Mac lure. I've caught a bunch of fish on those things. One of my favorite lures. |

Location: Oconomowoc, WI | Wow! Congratulations! If you would have kept it you may have regretted as well. In the long run, I think you'll be happy. You can go get your replica and just think how exciting its going to be every time you pull up nearby. Get yourself a new camera and you might just get a chance at a another photo op. Again, congrats on the fish of a lifetime!

| Sweet fish! Things can go less than smooth when fishing by yourself but still very cool you had your phone and could at least get some pictures of her... and she's a beauty! |

| Thanks everyone and pretty sure my buddy Wayne released this fish in the fall!
I tried to enter the fish in the 2013 Big fish contest but, will only let it me enter it as a 2012 entry(doesn't have 2013 as an option in, date caught). Steve, could someone help me with that? Thanks in advance. |

But think about this a 50'' in the boat , and your camera overboard, or you have your camera and no 50''.
What would you rather have ??
