| Might be fortunate enough this year to sell the boat and put a little towards an upgrade. Looking for one in the 18ft range, single console probably, and no more than 10 years old. Is this possible?

| Watch the "list"in the cities. I got an 05 165 navigator 75 4stroke yamaha, 4 hp tiller yamaha, hds 7 and 5 for 9500 last spring. it is smaller than you are looking for but very do able. Getting closer to spring so there will be a lot of boats up soon, but the good deals go quick! |

Location: Grand Rapids MN | Ya, when I bought my 17WT Targa it was less than 5 years old (in 2006) with 50hrs on the motor and got it for $9500. You'll hear a bunch of opinions on Trackers but for the money it's a nice boat and I haven't had any issues. Nicest thing is you will be able to find a newer model for the same money as other brands and the improvements in rod storage from older boats to now (in all brands/models) are huge. Just something to think about when looking around. |

Point is for that price, you get what you pay for. I told him that, but he went ahead anyway... |

| I disagree with the last comment, although his brother clearly bit ripped off.
If you take your time, water test it and take it for an inspection at a marine service place you trust, then you could easily find a good boat at that price. Watch kijiji and Craigslist daily and be ready to pounce, but don't pay until you have thoroughly checked it over.

+1 - I thought the same thing that it was possibly a dishonest seller; no matter what price the person was paying for it.

| Under 10 years old--what u described for under 10kkk ---hmmmm good luck with that.
I would say scrape the pennies get your price range up to 15k---Man the options really increase a lot at 15k----15k you can get a really nice Tuffy/Ranger with a reliable motor.
Best deal I have seen in a while was that 94 681 Ranger for 5500 on this site--if the motor ran reliable on that rig---someone got a sweet boat for under 6k--that thing was only up a couple days and gone!
Thats what your looking for under 10k something a little older but hopefully in nice shape. |

| if you are patient and look around long enough, you can find a 16'-17 1/2' 2002-2005 aluminum boat in your price range, every so often i see a Crestliner Fishhawk or a Lund Explorer for 10-12k |

| I just sold a Side Console Lund 1750 Outfitter (2008) with a 90 EFI Merc (actually Consigned it to Frankeis and they did theheavy lifting) that came with A Terova, a two big H-Bird Units and many other extras for around 12-13K. The book on the boat is 15K (mint) and mine was in good shape but had lots of use but impecable service records etc... My point being is you may need to Flex up a bit but for around 10K you can get close on a tin boat. Plenty of 17.5 Fishhawks, Lunds, Dominators etc...out there...

| I bought an 03 Lund mr pike 17 with a 2stroke merc 125 for WELL under 10k last year. I believe the seller to have been honest, title transferred fine, used it all summer with no issues, hopefully nothing catches up with me too fast but so far so good...about what I'd expect on any boat. It had a simple cable-steer bow trolling motor, did not have fancy electronics, but for 10 grand total I couldve put a decent color sonar/gps and a terrova on it. He wanted a fast sale, I jumped on it... Not saying its the best boat, but it's a lot of boat for the money. Know what you are looking for, have cash ready, and they are out there.
