i am heading to the lake right now to try my luck anyone have any suggestions for 38-40 degree water?

small twitch baits (6" big game) work them slow and let them hang for a while between twitches

Mag dawgs with LOTS of pauses. Try an weighted one for longer drops and pauses.

I am also a hooiser fisherman. Where is the open water? I would give a arm to even throw a bait right now. Well maybe not my arm ill be needing that.

I ended up catch one on a storm thunderstick and one on a poundwr. biggest was 44 smaller was 38.5.
