I see many new custom bucktails with 2 different blade colors. I am looking to add to my bucktail collection.....do you guys have good luck mixing your blade colors? The only one I have is a crappie skirt with one black and one white blade.

Llungen Lures made me some custom chartreuse/nickel blade combo with a perch multi color skirt that was extremely effective. Love combo blades!!!

Remember, the blades are spinning so mixing blade colors or buying blades with fancy paint jobs is more interesting to fisherman than to fish. Clip something good on and keep reeling.

That is the beauty of blades the combinations are endless. I do like black/gold or black/nickel.

On big blades with contrasting colors (black white or red+green etc) it looks like the front of the bait is blinking fast, kinda mesmerizing.

I never try one but I want to! Something different might add a few more muskies in boat! Should be good for heavy fished musky lakes!

Some of my favorite bucktails have two different colored blades. I love them, to me, its just another way of contrasting colors. But their are other ones out there like "Candy Corn" from musky mayhem, that is quickly becoming a personal favorite.

I make my own bucktails and have made a handful with different blade color combinations. I found that the cadence of the blade took presedence over the color in the waters that i fish. Also, you have to recall that certain colors of the "color wheel" at certain depths of water in varying light conditions "wipe-out." I heard a musky guide speak on the topic before and he proclaims that these flashy gaudy colors are just to catch the consumer. Anyway, good luck with the blades.
