If you had to choose between Dinorwic Lake, ONT or Cedar Point Resort, Cedar Lake in Perrault Falls ONT, which would you choose? If you have only fished one of them, how would you rate it?

Dinorwic. I've fished them both. Cedar was good, but the diversity of the Wabigoon/Dinorwic chain gets my vote.

A short trip takes you to the junction of Wabigoon and Dinorwic, and the easy availability of Butler and other lakes on the system. Excellent big Pike fishing, very good muskie, excellent walleye and smallmouth, and great perch and crappie in Butler and some areas of eastern Wabigoon. There are absolute tanks of all species of fish the system carries, making this a reasonable trophy destination.

I'm happy to hear the Dinorwic reports, as we'll be there in July for the first time. But, I can chyme in on Cedar and Perrault (if you chose to run up through the chute).

Cedar has a lot of muskies and some hogs, but is also only 6,000 acres or so. It got a little crowded at times, and if the weather's not ideal (or winds are from the NE or SW) you can easily run out of comfortable, fish-able water pretty quickly. But, being small with minimal hazards, it's an easy lake to navigate. It is the only lake where I've ever flipped jigs for muskies! Hit Hatfield Bay on a sunny, calm day and just look around and you'll see them sun-bathing. Won't bite anything, but certainly a sight to see.

Perrault - unless you are fishing for Walleye or Smallmouth don't bother. It's a big deep bowl.
