So I'd like to get my friends their favorite lure in a custom paint pattern. They all have different tastes, which would require multiple lure companies. What's the best method to do this?
Do I drive over to my local musky shop and buy these lures or do you guys typically have a source? I don't want to waste money driving and buying lures already painted if i can avoid it.

i have 100's of custom painted bait and i usually buy used baits and have them repainted. right now i have 34 baits getting painted by 2 different painters and getting ready to send 25 or so baits out to 2 other painters.

If you have a variety of lures and a variety of colors, if I was doing the painting, I would leave it to you to pick up the lures. Make sure that you get lures with patterns that will be easy to remove. If anyone wants a Suick, get the flat black ones because there is no clear coat to worry about. If you have doubts, call the painter.

I would add that if you see someones work/style just drop them a message and ask.
