| Has anyone else had trouble with rubber baits getting sticky? i have a few large medussas that will stick to your hands when you touch them. Any recommendations to clean them off? i have even tried gojo hand cleaner which helped a little, but they are still sticky and not too enjoyable to fish with. |

| Most likely the plastic is melting from being in the sun. I would place the box you keep them in a shaded and cool place when not in use. |

Location: Pewaukee, WI | Maybe try to clean them with some "Goo Gone" which is a mild adhesive cleaner made from natural ingredients. Failing that you might try "Goof Off" which is a paint remover, although it might hurt the rubber body. Just not sure. |

Location: Kodiak, AK | I have one do that. Tried to clean it and it wouldn't, but isopropyl alcohol worked best for me. I had three of that color so I sold it. |

| Corn starch makes most rubber products not stick. Never tried it on rubber lures but will make them stay smooth and not stick to you or itself. |

| Don't clean them, rub them down with cod liver oil. You now have a non-sticky bait and scent. Tryit, muskies like the result. |

Location: Minnesota: where it's tough to be a sportsfan! | Second on the oil/scent been doing it for years on different soft baits. I ziplock them in with hooks off and let them absorb oil. They come out great. In fact I got tubes from Underhill that looked like Grandmas old panty hose. They got ziplocked last year and aren't coming out until next Fall!! By the way thanks John! |
