I have the third week in August free to hunt big muskies in my 16.5' Lund. The Chicagoland area is my home base and I am willing to travel 14 hours one direction. I know there is the MuskieFirst outing at Spring Bay on Vermillion, and I am strongly considering that. Any other ideas? Thank you for your input guys.

If you're willing to cross the border, go to Canada.

ontariossunsetcountry.ca

you'll find all kinds of accommodations depending on what you are looking for. American or housekeeping? Drive to or boat in? You can search by town or water. Or search by feature i.e. muskie fishing.

If it was me, I would drive the extra few hours past Vermillion and fish LOTW.
