| Twas the night before Christmas and all thru the site....
Not a creature was stirring....no sponge on site.
The muskies were calm and sleeping so tight...
waiting until spring to give us a good fight.

| Tip ups are popping, some even with lites!
Augers are cutting big holes in the ice
as we try to catch Walleyes, Pike, Bluegills, some NICE.
Speed Shacks are springing up all over the lakes
As others sit by the fire, sharpening Slammers and Jakes
Straighten the tackle, go stare at the rig;
I will be icefishing, wiggling a jig
If Santa shows up; his goup of little elves
I am hoping they bring wear gortex, just
To protect themselves
From the cold and the snow; if not, I fear
He may of forgotten the 8 tiny raingear.
If so they are welcome to sit in my shanty
My Black Cat is ready, of Propane there's plenty..
When all of a sudden there arose such a clatter
TIP UP someone hollered, then again, like it MATTERED
Out of the shack We sprint off to see
what ate my golden shiner; I hope it will be
A Giant Pike,big Northern, for fillets I will make
To cook for the family, here at home Christmas Day!
