I am looking to upgrade to a more fish friendly net. I have a large net hoop (teardrop shaped 29" wide x 38" long). Has anyone ever tried just buying a beckman or frabil replacement bag and putting it on a different hoop? I know im being cheap here and I would much rather buy a whole new net with handle but the funds arent there to spend a ton. I have been looking at beckmen monster musky net or the biggest fin saver bag they make (34" wide and 40" deep). It seems the monster musky is much deeper at 52" but its not a fin saver bag. Any advice on what to go with?

Get the finsaver bag, it will work just fine on your hoop. It isn't listed as deep as the other bag because of the squared off bottom.

I like the frabill knotless net bag like they have on the big game or big kajuna. Personally feel they are way better than the beckman

Thanks guys. Those are definately the two I am interested in. Weight wise are the beckmans much lighter? My hoop and handle are not super heavy duty as the new ones and I know the frabil bags are a little heavy.

Buy the Frabill 4666 net bag. I installed on on my stowmaster and I could not be happier.

If the regular frabil knotless seems too heavy for your hoop they have the lighter knotless conservation series. I haven't checked them out yet but like I said frabils knotless is the way I would try to go I bought my big game complete net for 100 on sale at a fleet farm a few years ago and will never go back.
