O.K it's really cold out so why not stop in at Chicago's biggest sport show and talk about warm weather and summer time fishin. Hope to see you all there.

Going to be interesting to see what happens having two outdoor shows 20 minutes apart on the same weekend. Last weekend and the weekend before the musky show were wide open this makes no sense.

The guy that ran the rosemont a few years ago was turning that show around, brought in Kvd, Al Linder, etc. but he claimed he didn't make any money and sold the rights to the show. Schaumburg has the big names this year.

Schaumburg for me also----The show in rosemont is DOA in my opinion. Only room for 2 shows--TRI-ESOX and 1 other.... I think schaumbug is the second show!! TIME WILL TELL though.

Just left, Schaumburg has very few booths selling stuff, the rest were lodges, and reps

From 1-4pm this afternoon, Schaumburg basically out-drew the entire crowd from yesterday that was at Rosemont.

Good show, a number of manufacturers, and lots to see and do in Schaumburg. Joe Bucher is on deck tomorrow 1pm and 3pm. If manufacturers aren't selling, we have internet.

Andrew/SLAMR, how many times did you see the Dead at Rosemont in the 80's? I was there every time. What fun. Hope the vibe is there for the fishing, too.

Schaumburg show was a good time. Got some real good deals on baits including a storm thunderbeast for 7 bucks!

As long as this show exists I'll never go back to Rosemont!

Stopped at Schaumburg Thursday, thought it was a really, really fine show. Saw KVD do his thing in the Hawg Trough actually seeing him work spinner baits, lipless cranks creatures, jerks and drop shots. Honestly, it was almost as if you were watching Van Gogh with a paint brush. I was blown away!

I went to Rosemont on Sat Morning and walked the show in 20mins, sad to see what it has become. Schaumburg is the up and coming show, Rosemont someone needs to plug the plug on.

Went to Schaumburg on Saturday. Two good seminars by Joe Bucher were great. Many manufacturers including Diawa/Zebco, Shimano, St. Croix, and Okuma just to name a few. Probably the most boats in a showroom that I remember at a show.
Went to Rosemont Sunday/today. Great musky panel with Don Pursch, Bob Mesikohmer, and Spence Petros. Smaller total number of booths than past shows including many that were not fishing related.
Living 20 miles away I will continue to go to both. I have supported retailers and resorts at both. Those that are coming from out of town may feel differently. I would love to see some attendance numbers for both shows but do not expect that to be published.
Joe Bucher spoke about his excitement for the Schaumburg show during his seminar. Only time will tell if his and others excitement level continues to grow over the next several years.

I went to the Rosemont show on opening day and it was extremely disappointing....I went there to see a specefic Camp Owner and got the info I needed but otherwise I found it to be an extreme waste of money....could've bought half way decent bait for the amount of admission!

Will not waste my money on the Rosemont show. By the time you pay the Rosemont parking fee, entrance fee to the show, and god forbid if you decide to get a beer, you are close to 40 bucks. And then you get inside and see how small it is and how many booths have nothing to do with our sport. It has gone down hill for 10 years. Total waste of my hard earned money.
