Location: brooklyn park mn | I have heard that the dryden part of wabigoon where town is can have some pressure and is a little different than say eagle or lake of the woods scenery with plant etc... Is wabigoon pressured at all? And does the area around indian point lodge (I thinks that's what its called) remote/have some wilderness feel to it like other canadian lakes at all? Dad is interested in trying it out with me in mid aug for my second trip. but wants it to feel like canada too etc.... would be nice if he could catch fish along the way fishing for musky as he is getting older. Website looked good. any opinions advice appreciated.

Location: Not where I want to be! | I haven't been to wabigoon since 1984. Having said that the western end and north side of the lake had a fair amount of development then.
Water can be very turbid as the basin is clay. Water will get white under windy conditions. The paper mill smell was not real pleasent also.
Eagle and LOTW have more of the canadian feel imo if thats what your looking for. |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | There's plenty of development on the shores from the North shore by the Microwave tower to town, but not much fishing pressure. If you head for Butler and points south to southwest, you will find yourself surrounded by woods and wetlands. I love that water and stayed at Indian Point for years. |

Location: Corning, Iowa | If you go from camp, down to Trapp, and Mile lakes, that's very remote. Doug |
