Location: Kansas City BBQ Capitol of the world | I was wondering since "OutdoorsFIRST" is the Cream de la creme of the Muskie forums if any Pro Athletes fish Muskies or post here that you know of?
I remember being in a Bow shop several years ago and Bo Jackson was right in front of me buying his Bow. That was cool.
With all the teams in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, New York, Illinois and Canada surely there has to be a couple, few that fish for Muskies.
Anyone have any stories?
Thanks,
Ron |

| Bo would know musky even I bet! Man he was dominant! Someone posted a pic of Christian Laetner on here a while back. A friend who guides also has taken some former Blackhawk coaches out, or they may have been players. I can't remember names though, just that he stopped one guy from falling in on a hookset during a figure 8. Good question though, I'm sure there are plenty. |

Location: Home of the 2016 World Series Champion Cubs | NHLer Rick Zombo was a regular in the Hayward area staying at Anglers Haven on Lac Courte Orielles. I believe he mostly walleye fished but did some muskie fishing. Also a return guest guest at Anglers to fish LCO was Cincinnati Bengal Tim Krumrie. He the guy that broke his leg in Superbowl XXIII trying to tackle S.F 49'er Running Back Roger Craig on the 14th play of the game.
Hey werent the minnesota Vickings know for their affinity the outdoors and the waters in the land of 10,000 lakes while (Love) Boating? Some people might call that trolling right?
This last bit would fit better over on Whitetail First. Stanley Cup Champs L.A. Kings Staff Member and former player Bernie Nichols had his day with "The Cup" what did he do?......

| My buddy ran into Kirby Puckett (RIP) of the Twins, on Deer lake in Polk Co. before. He said he was really cool and super funny to talk to. I never pinned Kirby as a fisherman but that's cool to hear. Also, I know Matt Forte of the Bears is a big fisherman too. |

Location: MN | Steve Stricker from Wisconsin (PGA golfer) likes to muskie fish. Ron, back when I worked at an archery shop we used to make custom glass limbs for some of the older Jennings bows. We made a couple for Bo Jackson and a few others down south that were in the 110 lb draw weight range. Why did he want that much? Cause he could I suppose |

Anybody remember when Favre caught a muskie fishing with Gillespie? They were on some small secret lake in very small boats. One of John's more excitable moments.
As opposed to all of his non-excitable moments?
Did he pat Brett on the back, grab the fish from him, and then shove a brat in his mouth?

| I'm thinkin' casting for muskie is an athletic endeavor so that makes guides , tv / video guys that draw income from such professional. I'd love to fish with some of these guys, maybe some good habits, thinkin' methods would rub off onto a true amateur.
Bucher, Heiting, Saric, Herbie, Maina, the list goes on... |

He gave us a bunch of TWolve's merch but we kept the Bulls hats on. A local guide down the road from me guided Chris Farley's brother a lot when I was younger. |

I don't think the person that signed in under that name was part of any racing organization. I'm pretty sure they post on a fishing forum with a racing type name, and a racing forum with a fishing type name. |

I know the lake they were on and the circumstances that lead to him catching that musky. Favre had casted onto the camera boat ( pontoon ) that his daughter was on watching the events unfold, and the caretaker kicked the bait into the water and Favre started reeling it back to the boat and the musky hit it. I'm not sure who was the most surprised! A lot of stories of prominent people fishing that lake, President Eisenhower and his brothers, and also the time my Grandpa had to "guide" Gypsy Rose Lee (famous exotic dancer from back in the day) to some monster smallmouth. As the story goes, grandma wasn't very happy that he "had to" take her out, but I guess he was really sweating it when she started to remove clothing because it was so hot on the water that day. |
