I'm Looking at getting a new reel but cant decide on a revo toro or the nacl. So im wondering if there is much of a difference between the two besides 30 dollars. Any input on the two would be great.

There really are three different series of Revo Toro. The Revo Toro Winch, Revo Toro HS, and the Revo Toro NACL. The most obvious difference between the three series is the gearing of each. Depends what you want the reel to do. NACL is also supposed to be appropriate for saltwater applications (that's why the NACL designation) so some of the parts I believe are made corrosion resistant etc. Not an expert on that but since I don't musky fish in saltwater it doesn't matter much to me. All three series come with a power handle but the NACL has a new design.

Like Pete said the difference is gearing. The Winch is 4:6.1 the NACL, is 5:4.1 and the HS is 6:4.i. So if you want the 6:4. you'll have to get the Revo Toro HS

After doing some research I recently bought the Revo Toro 60-HS rather than the 50-HS. The company I bought mine from carries the NACI, but only in the 50-HS. I recommend you doing some research to determine if the 60-HS, regardless of which model, would be suited best for you.
Anyway, I sent you a PM with where I bought mine. Good luck.

I personally spoke with the rep from Abu Garcia and was told the only differences are a saltwater coating, handle/drag star, and a sealed centrifugal brake.

For fresh water, they are essentially the same reel.

Another difference is the "Aircraft grade aluminum spool". Maybe that casts lighter lures like bucktails a few Inch further.

Isnt the handle different on the Nacl versus the previous Toro?? I will also be purchasing either the Nacl or the previous model on discount somewhere. Looks like the only functional difference may be the handle??
