I'd like to move my driver seat back a few inches. is this as easy as unscrewing the screws, drilling new holes, then screwing it back in?

Hiya,

It should be.. Most manufacturers have an aluminum plate below the decking so the machine screws are not able to just be pulled out from rocking back and forth, the jarring, weight changes from waves, etc.

Some seats have more than one set of holes in the bottom of them and can be moved a couple inches........ a lot easier than moving a pedastal. My Crestliner has seats with extra holes, plus the driver's seat has a slide on it like a car seat,it may be an aftermarket thing.......was on there when I got the boat.
