I worked with a guy from Indianapolis this sumer and he said the Indianapolis show is one of the biggest in the Country. He said it takes 2 days to go thru everything. Can someone share their experiences at the Indy show ?? Hugh ? Lots of boats and trailers ? I am interested in guides, resorts and buying fishing junk. Is it worth a 3 hour drive ??

You'd be better off driving a few hours to Madison Wi to the www.madfishexpo.com in late Feb. All fishing (no trinkets or other crap) and you can do it in a long afternoon.

Basscaster,

The show is worth the drive. They have everything from big boats, fishing boats, campers, fishing equipment, lures, rods, destinations and hunting. Takes a full day if you move fast but would be best in two.

Madison Fishing Expo is a great event but it doesn't compare in size to the Indy show....about 1/5 or less the size. They have more lodges in one location than any other show I have ever seen. I will be at the Madison Show for my rods/baits only because it is more muskie fishing there than in Indy. Pick which weekend you want to go as they have deer/turkey one weekend and harley's the other weekend (10 day show).

I live in indy and I can honestly say I wouldn't drive 3 hours for it. There is a lot of junk mixed in with the indy show. There are a lot of boats, campers, and guides.

No not really. Thorne Bros shows up but even they have more bass stuff. Then one other booth that has some muskie tackle. Not really any customs like at muskie based shows either.

I was told by someone who has a booth it is still a 10 day sport show at indianapolis. Has to account for something. Madison is a great show as well, been to that one.
