| Just thought I would tell you a little about this deal...
if you catch a fish big enough you can submit an appilcation to the MI DNR's Master Angler Award Program. If they accept your application you get a certificate and a shoulder patch. I sent my info in for a 2002 C&R 48"er and they did indeed send me the goods, including some data on master angler great lakes musky entries. (I've called the DNR to get ALL the data on the musky entries and will post a summary in a few weeks. Veeerrry interesting stuff.)
But check this out...two years ago the Master Angler patch was a musky. I qualified that year (min. entry is 42") but never sent the application in to the DNR. Had I known the patch was a musky I sure would have sent it in! For 2002, the patch is a......
