| How stiff do the rods need to be for say trolling 10" Jakes? what about for 6" shallow raiders? |

| 8' TDR Rods by Shimano 2 Pc Heavy Rods work well for trolling just about everything. They are Great Rods and the are CHEAP less than $35 each............. |

| I agree with the others, no need for a heavy stiff rod. I use 10' long Ugly Sticks that are made for salmon trolling and they work great. I pull 14' Jakes, 13" Grandmas, Plows, Hookers, etc.. and it works just fine. |
