| Ok My Bro takes good care of me and I'm thinking about buying him (us[;)] )a 2 day guided trip to either the niagra or the ottawa river . Since he bought the place on the manitou and gives me free trips there I want to do something special for him. We are both long time muskie anglers and prefer casting but will troll if necessary. I plan on being guided for 2 days and fishing on our own for 2 or so days. My boat is'nt that big (old 15 v bottom crestliner with 30 hp motor) Any edge to which place might produce a 50 ?? We are not looking for numbers . As far as time of year I'd guess late august or maybe mid oct for the trip . Thanks ManitouDan | |

I would sure like to be taking you here on the Niagara River,but with August or October as your choice for a chance at a 50 incher,your much better off going to the Ottawa River.They do get a few Jumbinos in both August and October up there.For the 50" chance on the Niagara River,last week of June or last half of November are your best bet.Casting here on the Niagara would also be the best around the last week of June.Casting on the Ottawa would be good both in August and October.Good Luck and I hope you get a visit from a Big Girl when you do go.
