It's Not A Muskie But it's a new Indiana State record Walleye,
My understanding is that it was caught in Lake Michigan a few weeks ago.

Sorry about the spelling in my original post ( Fat Finger Tuesday )
I knew that Lake Michigan had some nice Walleye's and Smallmouths but I have never heard of a Muskie, have any of you seen or heard of a Lake Mich. Muskie?

John,

Every once in a great while a Salmon angler catches a muskie in the Milwaukee harbor of lake Michigan.

Holy cow, that's hog walleye.
John, about your question of Lake Michigan muskies...
2 or 3 years ago, i was watching PBS, someone was taking some kids salmon fishing in Lake Michigan, and they pulled up a 33" to 36" muskie, and the boat captain had NO idea what it was.
The north west side of the state of Michigan, has Elk Lake, that's connected to the big Grand Traverse Bay, and elk has muskies. the east arm and west arm of Grand Tranverse has produced one or 2 large muskies in the past few years, if i can "re find" the info, i'll post it. i think they were not caught my musky jonsers though. Lake MI has to have some muskies somewhere, there are quite a new pike that are not out, away from shore, very far, so if i was a to target them in this huge lake, i'd try to find out where they spawn, then hit the first or probably the second area you think they'd set up in, before they start following the small lake trout around.
