For me Pewaukee is depressing. I cant get out there to fish it. Tonight with a front moving in and a SW wind at 10mph. I know I could have popped three fish...My truck will be fixed by Saturday, too late for the PMTT, but I should be able to pop some fish this weekend.

But instead I read Muskie Hunter to my daughter. Quality time you see.

I think the lake is in its fall clear up right now.. In fall its not uncommon to see 6 or 8ft down. Right now its around 4 to 5ft so thats good. Turnover does not seem to cloud this lake much so I would not worry about it. You will see a change but its not as bad as other bodys of water. Turn over might be around the PMTT, if the cold keeps comming fast. After Turnover the lake gins up alot very quickly.

Water temps were 66 today and my clients boated a 37" and a 34". Very cold east winds and downpouring rain I might add off Lake Michigan.

Should be a fun PMTT, I hope I can judge a fish for you in the event Jeff. As far as info, I wont be giving much.. I swore I would not tell anyone anything before the event except water temps and such. I wont be on the water Monday but good luck to you.

Jeff, I know you spent three days on it last year.. Trust me its a whole different ball game this year. The lake has changed alot in one year.

My advise dont trust your past, most of the old patterns are out the door and gone.

Jason,
I spent Every weekend Sat & Sun for 1 Month but you are right every year brings new meanings along with new color, But I will trust the good hand of Bob Jacobs who has fish for Many Many years before most even knew of Pewaukee, Not to mention my good buddy Wizzie. But then again that doesn't mean I won't go with my own plans always good to have alot of arsenal. I will most likely make two trips down to check things out I just don't want to prefish too much and get alot of lip lock before the Tournament I would hate to only see 10 fish caught for the Championship. Seems that every tournament we fished this year we were able to catch big fish prefishing just like the 54", 41" & 51" on Tonka we were just fortunate to have the pattern down and for it to still work for us on Sat, & Sun. Hopefully it will go our way on Pewaukee. Thanks again for the water Temps. I am just happy to have made it to the Championship & to have gone from 79th place to 7th over all, just imagine that far from just one tournament, it takes a while for a team to get insync with each other. Hope you are able to register a fish for us, Thanks again forthe tips.

Got lost in the fog on Sunday. I was seeing stars. It's a good thing I never opened my user manual on my GPS unit. I might have been able to find my way around (LOL). So much for getting out there early.............. Man do you ever feel stupid when you think you are on the right spot but when the fog lifts you are really on the other side of the lake. I was cracking myself up. Trolled and Trolled and Trolled. Not a rip. Tried casting and managed a 37" musky. Things look good out there. Water temps ranged anywhere from 60 degrees to 66 degrees. Weeds are like Tonka. Put the trolling motor in and go............... With the severe cold front coming, it could really change things around. Supposed to be highs in the low 50's which means low 30's at night. Yikes. Well, it is keeping in line with all of the other PMTT tournaments we have been to. Teams still manage to catch fish. Moral of the story - stick with what you know and fish your butt off!

There are a lot of people draggin meat right now. I am sure there will be plenty the weekend of the PMTT as well. Might be plenty of fish that have been caught recently on quick strike rigs. A buddy of mine popped a 42" on Sunday (9/30) on a quck strike sucker. I am sure there will be tons of people out there in the coming weeks draggin' meat hopin' for a fatty.

Good luck to all!

My plan is too get the heck out of dodge this weekend... I might go fish the Madison chain on Saturday or Okauchee, lots of PMTT boys comming to town this weekend. But the lake has tons of fish in it for all to enjoy.

Water temps will drop fast, as the wheather report says.

If we get lucky it might snow on the KY boys.. I can see it now, Tony Grant using a snow shovel.. LOL

Dont laugh, last year, same time, it snowed.
