| I damaged the cover that holds the battery in place for the i pilot remote. A new remote is $150. I'm trying to not have to buy one if I don't absolutely have to. Any help is appreciated. I'll go through the regular channels tomorrow during business hours. |

| i used an o ring stretched like a rubber band and electrical tape to temporarily remedy the situation. I'm going to try minn kota now, I just dont want to go into next year with a suspect remote. It's on a powerdrive so if it fails, i have no foot pedal to rely on, i should probably get a back up remote anyway. |

| and minnkota is sending one out via warranty. Nice of them as it was self sdmitted user error. |

| If your iPilot is under 3 years old you should be able to take it an authorized dealer/ repair tech and they can have it fixed. Given it is December do it now and you'll be set for open water next year.
I had a similar issue last offseason where the seat for one of the screws on the remote case broke, compromisng the waterproof seal. I took it to aforementioned service dealer and I had a new remote in 3 weeks. My experience with the Minn Kota warranty was very positive. |
