Great, the season just ended and I am already feeling the pressure. However right now is the worst time of year. Can't fish for muskies and can't walk on my favorite lake yet for the wonderful hard water season. So my question is... What do you guys do in the time between seasons?? I feel like I should be sitting on a bucket jigging right now, and for some reason I am at work instead...

ah river eyes are fun this time of year, plus you can still be in the boat and not sitting on a bucket.

All these little repairs I've been putting off. During the season when I get a few hours free I'm like, "hmmmm.....fix that oooorrrrr...get out for a few hours". The back window of my topper hung cock eyed all summer...finally fixed it Monday.

My cousin called me the other day & wanted me to buy her 2 grandsons some muskie baits. so yesterday I took a trip to Fleet Farm & bought 14 baits, 4 leaders & 2 smaller tackle boxes as they do lots of shore fishing. I spent $262.00. This will give them a good start. I could of spent a lot more.

This is what you can do to fight the off-season boredum. (1) If you aren't married, hunt for a 98 who has a clean record, a bright mind, and always says yes. These are not common but if you find one you will never be bored again. (2) Go to your local tavern and get stinking drunk in regret for wasting your time and money chasing fish that you are only going to throw back into the water instead of applying yourself and your resources to some more serious pursuit. (3) Hunt coyotes with a spear.

I don't have it too bad yet. I can always late season bow hunt, and I think there might be a bigger lake or two that's still open. Never done it before but am tempted to get the boat out one last time to try to some pre-ice walleyes. I would have to guess they'll be where I would find them first ice.

Also been trying to do a few honey do projects since my wife gets pretty neglected during the fall with musky fishing transitioning into serious bow hunting. Putting up the Christmas tree, lights on the roof, doing brakes on the cars that need it (seems like all of them at once) installing a new dish washer.

Then getting the ice gear together, winterizing the boat, etc. I'll be scrambling to get it all done before my first weekend on ice!

Nocturnal - love the picture. Gotta love the 4 legged friends!

Dudes, nobody down here lives in cabins--the cribs here are made of brick. You cabin people are different--really different. But we know what you're saying. Hangin' at the crib gets to us too. We like to go to the cabaret and chase hot chicks. Sometimes they say yes. They need it too. And we like to go jiving up at NYC. Chase chicks from Harlem and Bedford-Sty. Hot. If you got money, go see the Sixers play. Not bad.

I hear you Fat. I survive thanks to the XMAS Holiday chaos and then finishing all the honey do projects I didn't or refused to do from June through November. That usually gets me to March. Thank goodness for Muskies Inc. Banquets. Oh, this is THE time of year to regrow your Hubby Capital account so you can spend it next fall! I work on that all the way until that glorious first weekend of June.

Sage looks very comfortable ! My one Shepherd takes up the whole love seat. I fish straight through the year when I can in Pa., however I love to hike the mountains with my neice and dogs after hunting season is over. Spending time with family and enjoying the fire on a cold winter day or night is nice too.
