I have a simple question.....what was the origin of the color "9$ Bass"?

Interesting Q. I will have to look but I swear I have seen that paint scheme in my antique lure books. I think it is a very old paint pattern.

When the color first came out that was its price which was two dollars more than the regular beilever colors

it make sense,i think it's not normal to pay the same price of a black lure vs a bass.
