Not starting a peeing match so keep it civil. I would like to hear numbers of fish boated and approximately numbers of days fished. Don't want to hear about sizes. Just numbers and days. Been the worst year ever for me and looking to see if the guys who did well had something in common to what or where they were.
Thanks

Personal best this year, 62 river fish. Too bad so many get away, that number could double. Had a monster chase a bass bait into a weed bed. came up empty. By far the largest fish Ive seen in some time. With the heat this summer, didnt fish for 5 weeks. Temps in the river went into the high 80s. not normal. Also had to deal with low water restricting access. Dreaming about next season already.

Boated only 1 Fish, it was a fifty inch. I fished mostly half days after work with a few weekends in there. I counted approximately 25 outings. Definantly a learning year.

Was out a lot more this year probably a good 50 full days and only caught half as many as last year. Lost a handful of fish but for catching less the average size was up which is the silver lining. High water temps and low water on the river didn't help. Fish density waters are the big factor for most guys. Can fish some spots and see double digit fish all the time vs one or two fish seen on other bodies.

Caught a total of 2 fish this year... spent my week on Vermilion swimming, walking, and such with the new family. Fished twice in 6 days. One of the better vacations I can remember, All i caught was this little gem. Busiest year of my life, wouldn't trade it for anything. No tub in the Vermilion cabin, so we had bath time in the sink.

My catch per hour is way down, size way up, and # of fish seen up. I caught 5, including my three biggest ever. I also had my worst streak ever--I had 6 topwater blowups and 2 nip bucktails coming at me during the August full moon. Had I caught those 8, I'd be raving about a great year. I fished big fish water most of the time. Learned a lot though, and with a new PB, I've got no real complaints. Depends who and where you are though. Guys I know did great on LOTW this year.

I ended my season about a month early due to a minor arm injury that I am still suffering from.... However, had a decent season. Boated 12. Biggest was a 47" But I would not be able to give an accurate number of hours spent on the water.. If I had to guess, I would guess A LOT!

great june-early july at home with bigger than normal fish, then turned to salmon and pulling kids around on the wake-board vs. fishing in the higher temps. fall fishing was a bust for me ...

tough sled in canada but a good hot-bite on the last day made numbers work out just fine ... but, smaller fish caught and encountered than normal much i think due to the higher-than-normal water temps. we had during our week.

bass fishing was lackluster outside the spawn-bed bite on smallies

chrome ROCKS!

This year sucked for me. I only fished 8 days, 4 fish to show for it, all caught in the same day, average size slightly less than other years - 41.5". Biggest this year was 47. It was probably one of the heavier fish I've caught, but I did better last year. And I did better the year before than I did last year. I usually average a fish for about every 12 hours on the water, but this year was close to 16 hours. Kind of a crappy year for pike, walleye, bass, and just about everything else, too. Even some of my "guaranteed to catch a fish here" spots were dead this year. Probably would have done better if not for several weeks where it was just plain too hot to fish. Surface temps pushing 83 all the way up North. Blech.

I don't have actual numbers but was definitely an up year for me. I broke my PB 4 times and missed some beauties. One weekend had 4 in the boat, and I can only think of one where we got skunked. I'd say we got out musky fishing maybe 25 or 30 times and had around 40 fish in the boat.

Had a down year on bass after early season, and a down year on pike, I think a lot of that was because we spent all summer fishing for bluegill and crappie, which we slaughtered.

I would guess I had about 25 outings this year in a boat and 25 off shore outings. Dang work gets in the way of so much fun. Managed to boat 5 fish one being my PB at 51 x 24. A down year for me and my buddies but as the saying goes, a bad day fishing is better than a good day working. There is always next year.

waters you fish does make a difference of course. Hours per fish in the boat is always interesting. Guys who catch 100 or more a year simply fish all the time! On average if you are getting a fish in the net ever 3-5 hours you are doing better than most. I'm at 80 or so in the boat (only counting 30+ inchers) and about 350 hours on water.
Good luck the rest of the year for those getting out! Be safe out there.

Got out about 60 times, but most of my trips are 4-6 hours. Ended up with 10 in the net. Hit a bad slump late August through Turnover, but had a dynamite November. Only my 3rd season so still putting things together. Definitely learned a lot and enjoyed every moment on the water. Already chomping at the bit for next season.

tough year for me out here in utah! only boated 16 over 30" and 3 under 30" Did boat 8 over 40". Made prolly 35-45 trips. Lot less time spent on the water due to the birth of my daughter... One key factor was all my top h20 fish were all over 40", of course all of them were tigers as we are not fortunate enough to have pures....

It was a fairly efficient year for me. Nine fish but I probably only made it out 15 times and my longest outing was under 4hrs. Seven of my fish came in a two week period in late Sept. early Oct. I'm doing a lot of family fishing the last few years.

Far and away the last few years have been my best ever for size and quantity. 112 this year and 103 last year. Had 2 great days this year with 14 and 15 boated and 2 days that were even better last year. I'm a regular who 's posting anonymously with nothing to gain, fully understand that most won't believe. These are my boats totals for 40" or better, 37 full days on the water this year, about half of them caught solo. Cheers

24 total with 14 between 44" and 50.5". My best year for sure. I'm guessing 35 days and partial days fished. Couple trolling but most were casting and over half were in the 8. Had one day where we got 5 over 44" which is the best I've ever done. Can't complain but I'm still looking for a real pig! This was my 14th year attempting to catch muskies.

Not guide or Captain. Great season, curious where you are fishing generally? MN ? St Claire? Also, if you put in 37 "full days" what is a full day to you hours wise? 10? 15? 8?

Actually it was almost an unbelievable year and I give all the credit to the fisheries and people I was lucky enough to know who let me in on it. A less seasoned guy might let some like this go to their head when in fact many of you reading this could post the same #s or more if they had been the only one turned on too. To answer your question, it's a rare day that I'm not on the water from sunup to sundown and with those kind of numbers is obvious theres no searching and every second is precious when the bite happens. Far and away the best bite is just after the open with 10-15 fish days, same with a different body of water starting labor day, but only for a couple weeks or so.

A really good year despite a low number of fish caught. 5 in my boat with 3 of those being mine. Got my PB this year at 52" which made the whole year a success. I figure 25 days on the water, but probably only average less than 4 hours a trip. I saw more fish this year than ever before.

All fishing was done in Indiana. I have not been on any of the three N. Webster area waters this year (so far).

Northern WI between May 26th and October 25th 115 muskies in my boat; I caught 86. 3 were over 48" mark. Only fished 10 days in October. 2 days were a tournament and 6 were guide trips.

49.00-49.75 1
46.00-48.75 6
43.00-45.75 7
40.00-42.75 24
34.00-39.75 64
30.00-33.75 5
<30.00" 8
Total 115
Avg Fish Length 37.59

I know it seems crazy but it definitely helped that we boated lots of 35-38". Kept the average size up. Let the criticism begin... but its legit. Began filming June 15th and I have around 72 netted fish on video and pictures of about 97 of them from this year. I dont know if ill ever top this year... I dont know that I will have the time! But it was awesome. Congrats to all the big fish entrants! Lot of nice fish boated this year! Good luck to all in 2013!

Last summer I fished [muskies] 18 to 20 times, resulting in 20 catches [for the boat], of which 11 were mine. Most of my outings were half-days. Three outings yielded 3 to 4 fish each, so there were obiously some skunked days too.

This was my sixth year fishing muskies somewhat seriously. Up until this year, 43" was the longest musky I had caught or netted. Sad, right? This year I caught two and netted another five bigger than that. Eleven is also my personal best for a season.

I spent about 12 total days muskie fishing in Minnesota. Was busy with some health stuff and missed a few weekends.
What made this the best year ever was that both my sons caught their first muskies, Michael in July at Inguadona and Matthew in August on Leech. I was happy to net both fish. Had my last October and November of coaching wrestling so that'll open up some more time next year.

2012 was a tough year for me.Storm Chasing in the spring every year keeps me off the water during that time, with only limited time March-June.This year's hot temps kept me off even more.May 20th was the cut-off last season with water hitting 80*. Was on the water appx 240hrs,26 boated,107 follows,5 lost, and pulled away from at least 20 fish on my home lake that were mid 30's or smaller that had followed baits.(trying to preserve my locals to be big boys ) Fished in 3 states,6 bodies of water, and largest at 50 1/2".

11 fish last year. 45.89 average. Three doubles including a hour with a 51.25 (new PBR) and a 49.75. Only one fish under 40. All from the second chair. Hours on the water, no idea, I'll just say alot!
