What could be attributing to this? Any ideas? I recently cleaned the reel and inspected it for any obvious issues, but I'm no reel guru.
Thanks

Drop of oil on the spool shaft bearing should help I think.

Oil both spool bearings and the worm gear.

Oil the spool bearings, the worm shaft and the spool braking system, if the reel still has a squeeling noise then it time for a reel Detailing, Tuning and Relubing, send it to me and for $25.00 plus any parts that are worn out, I"ll make it better then new.

Was it squeeling before you serviced it yourself?

If not, you've probably got some dirt or something in a bearing from inspecting/cleaning or didn't put it back together right.

Rather than just add oil, I would recommend you degrease the bearings first with carb cleaner or something similar, blow them out with compressed air and then add a drop of oil.

The most common source of loud squeeling sounds when casting is, when the coq reel are mounted dry.

When our season ends (should be soon, this weekend could be my last outing) I have two Revo Toro's I'm going to need to send to you!

for all U guys that do it yourself get a RPM Bearing Blaster and use it with Brake Cleaner and then soak in Acetone. If you use oil then they must be reoiled after 40 hours of casting, if you grease them they will be ok for the season.

Thanks for the responses. Ill try lubing those recommended parts. I took the reel down and cleaned it because of the squeeling. If that doesn't help ill PM pikemaster.

When I do reel bearings I remove them from the reel and also remove a shield from one of the sides of the bearing and give them a Blast in the Bearing Blaster with Brake Cleaner and then run them in the Ultra Sonic Cleaner in Acetone for 30 mins, take them out and dry them with a hair dryer and spin them, if they do not spin free I will run them in the U/Sonic cleaner for another 30 mins, after that if they do not spin free I replace them.
