Paul and I have talked about two next year. I have a really good memory, so I'm not as excited about the idea as he is.

| One question I have on tournies in MN is why do they end by late Sept/ early Oct? Why not have an event post turnover?

Location: Otsego, MN | I think you may Lose a lot of people to fall activities. You compete with ducks, pheasants, deer, and bear hunters, etc. I used to fish the MMTT and loved it, the tonka tourney was in mid-October and had a low turnout. I remember the one year weather was COLD! I personally don't want to have to be fishing in weather I don't want to, and in late OCT and Early NOV you never know what your going to get. That may be a reason for tourneys not going far into the fall in MN. Look at the George Wahl tourney this past year, I chose to deer hunt instead, if that were in the summer I would have been fishing it no doubt. Just my thoughts. |

| I guess mileage varies, my favorite time on the water in the metro is after turnover, but I also do not do any hunting. |

| A big body of water and a smaller body of water. Vermilion is the clear choice for the big one. Smaller one, I would like to see Mantrap, Pelican or St Louis River. |

Mantrap is only 1770 acres with many narrow channels and very little development. when 3M has it's pro/co fishing event it is a zoo. this is exactly the kind of lake that should never host a tournament, especially since it has a very antsy lake association. Potato might be a better choice.
at 4000 acres Pelican is a more reasonable size and is highly developed, and obviously the St Louis river has plenty of space and has hosted large tournaments before.

Location: Chisholm, MN | A slightly smaller lake may encourage people with smaller boats to enter. I wouldn't want to do leech or mille lacs with my 60hp 16' tiller if the wind was bad, but cass, pelican, Bemidji, or something similar would be nice. I can also handle vermilion, which is my first choice.

| My personal opinion is that a tournament of this caliber is mostly limited to the large lakes in MN. We have a lot of terrible boat landings with very limited parking space. |

thought that the chicago show would have been a good place to annouce a new plan
could be wrong. planning summer fishing trips and time off could allready have been done
by most folks that would partcipate. i know i've booked some trips |

I'm sure you would get more "touring teams" that will commit to the trail if you had just a few events vs 4. I'm not familiar with how this was run before.
Looking forward to hearing more as the weeks unfold.

Location: Otsego, MN | To be a "touring Team" I think you need about 4 events. If it was run like it was in the past getting 50 boats for those Lakes above will not be a problem.
I know Tonka was harder to fill in October but that was 4 years ago. Anglers have increased over those years and Tonka is pounded until freeze up, I'm sure you could fill that tourney now. |

Location: deephaven mn | in the past you had register for the whole tour 4 events to be a trail team and get a price break. i think there were between 25 and 30 teams fishing all events depending on year and
the rest of the spots where filled will other teams. 50 boats was the max and all spots were filled except for minnetonka in the october, as mentioned that may change as tonka is busy most days.
don't think i would lay my money down on mille lacs, but might take a shot a few others mentioned |

There will be no more discussion here.
