Anybody try out the new Penn Fathom 20 left-hander?

Should have lots of power... Looks like a good reel for big rubber and blades.

i also would like to get some news,it sound like a #*^@ good reel.
tks i have discover what i hope cheapest alternative to a calcutta,do you know if the reel have a auto engage?


Haven't tried one yet, but I am pretty sure it is a manual engage clutch.

Also it doesn't have spool breaks, so casting could be somewhat tough with this reel. My guess is that the levelwind should slow it down enough, but you could always epoxy some magnets in it if necessary.

Looks to be a solid built reel though... With beefy gears, and lots of torque w/ the low ratio.
