Under the heading of "New Illinois hybrid state record." I posted what I thought may be an interesting photo of a pike being prepared for mounting as a skin mount. To show the "other side" of fish taxidermy today I offer this photo. Hope you like it!

WOW… Spence looks positively life-like! It’s good to know that he’s still alive out there somewhere so that others may catch him as well. Just curious, what did he weigh?

Seriously, nice job on the fish. That is a beautiful piece of work.

Doug always does excellent work. He's done a replica for me and repainted and old, poorly done mount of a tiger musky. They are with the utmost detail. Unfortunately, here in Alaska, people look at my musky mounts and wonder what the he!! that fish is.....sheesh.
