I've not been Muskie fishing for too long (couple of years). I've been on the fence about getting a couple winches for a year or so. Two of the casting reels that I use most are two Abu 6600EXTs. These reels are now discontinued so that may say something, however they are 4.7.1 ratios. I've never heard mention of these reels on Muski First so I'd like to know if anyone has experience with them and what their thoughts are. Your input is appreciated.

i picked up a winch a few months ago and used it a couple times, worked great for pulling doubles but feels like it will be a lot of work to make them have any real speed. i don't have too much experience with many other baits yet couple suicks and some mag d's. i am planning to send it to pikemaster to have the 5.4's put in it this winter. really smooth reel though, cast nice i am sure you could pull just about anything out of the water with the way its geared.

Revo toros are great reels, would recommend without a doubt.....If you want more speed Like stated above visit Pikemaster on this site and for roughly $50 you can have him change the gearing.. Mike Sr.
