| What an amazing week in the Muskiebreath boat! It started on Nov 3rd with Roger Ecklunnds fish 56x29 and on Friday Nov 9th with Ryan Beckers 55.75x28.25! Both of these fish formula out at way over the 50lb mark. The current state record dimensions are 56x27.8 which weighed 54lbs. Ryans fish also ate a double dawg pounder during the am major at 8:30am. Both of these amazing fish are still swimming and were released back into the lake. Congrats to both anglers it was my pleasure netting the 2 biggest fish I have ever encountered!

| Twenty minutes on the first day out!! Jason says " its about time this boat sees another fifty pounder, it's been a couple days'' I kid you not two seconds later Ryan yells" fish on, get the net". I still can't believe my good friend Ryan caught a 56.7 lb musky that puts over the state record, and then let it swim. That in my eyes is great fisherman, and yet so young in his career! Thank you both Ryan and Jason, what a fish |

| Only a great fisherman would let them go back to there home where they belong, pretty sweet. Those 2 fat mama's belong because they may someday grow to become world records, its possible, imagine that. Those fish also are going to produce many more musky's for that awsome fishery. That is probably the most awsome feeling catching those monsters and even a better feeling holding there tail in the water just waiting for them to kick back to life. Congrats to Jason and the 2 lucky clients to be in the boat on those days. Congrats again. Keep on slayin. |

| Jason deserves almost all of the credit for both of these incredible fish. The amount of time and energy he puts into this sport is unbelievable. I had the pleasure of fishing with him one time this season and I can tell you he's an extremely hard worker. It is also quite obvious that he loves what he does and that he has only a handful of true peers in this wonderful sport. I look forward to the next time I am fortunate enough to spend in his boat. We haven't heard the last of him this season.
'
After all, he hasn't caught a fall giant yet!
Congratulations, Jason on a spectacular season!!! |

Location: Kronenwetter, WI | Pitchin' and I fished with Jason and Pitchin' got his PB that day at 50.5, I think. Most summers we spend a week fishing that lake and see Jason around on various spots. Now, we're only there for a week so we "hit it hard" making sure we're on the water at daybreak and fish well into the night. After being out until past midnight, you know how hard it is to be on the water at daybreak, but its only a week and we figure we can be tough about it. On more than one occasion we've found ourselves out in the wee hours of the night and noted Jason out working hard too. We think, "hes got all summer and doesnt need to pull 'consequitive shifts'" and be on the water at daybreak after being out past midnight. Next morning, tired and sore, who do we see zooming by? You guessed it.
Jason---you bust your butt and deserve this success. Congratulations!

| The fact is that we could have two very big and very dead fish right now in the state of MN had it not been for the commitment to the highest level of sportsmanship by these fortunate anglers. My hat is off to them for choosing the well being of the fish - and the fishery - over the ego stroke of officially owning the record. By doing so, they keep alive the hope that springs eternal in mind of every musky fisher out there and (perhaps) allow the fish to continue to pass along the right genetics for generations to follow. And, look at it this way, if 55lb class fish aren't released, we will never see 65lbers!

Mine had a clipped left Pectoral fin, someone told me it was stocked in 1993 making it 19 years old.
