That is when I was at a small base in Viet Nam and came to terms with what Veterans Day truly means.

A tear for those who never came back, a salute to those who did.

Thanks to Veterans past and present.

Sorry for the cost.

My hat's off to you brother! 42 yrs ago today I was also out in the field with the 25th Inf. Div. pulling ambushes at night near the base of the Black Virgin Mtn, aka Nui Ba Dinh (sp??)

Lots of memories. And many of them are close.... I don't know why but much of that year when I was a 20-21 yr old kid is so very special. So VERY special!

10-4 for all our Vets who get dicked by our government for their service to our country!My Gramps WW 1, Dad Korea and my Uncle In Nam, My dad 83 and Gov won,t pay for his hearing aid for the ear that got blow out on duty! My Uncle was wounded several times in Nam.Most of you watch movies or have family that was in nam and know some about it.My Uncle was involved in Firebase Ripcord! (Next to Hamburger Hill)The worst and last major battle in Nam you hav,nt heard about most likely. Movie is supposed to be in the works. God bless our VETS!

I too would like to thank my brothers and sisters who had served. Going back to all my uncle's in Nam and cousins in Iraq and Afghan. I was lucky and not have to worry about the bad stuff. Only to leave the service and see my true friends ship off to the first Iraq war
There is not a day that goes by that without thinking of them and our great country.

David F.,The last two years we have been taking Wounded Wariors from the 10th Mtn. Div at Fort Drum out on Lake Erie for walleye and Chautauqua Lake for muskies in July.
