Water temps in Shelby

Was sitting at my desk looking out my window trying to figure out a good excuse to tell the little lady why I just have to go down south and hit the water for "ONE LAST TIME"[:p]

Christmas is right around the corner and I don't have any extra money for a trip, maybe I can set up my tent by the water and start a nice fire or maybe just sleep in the truck.[:knockout:]

Maybe I can tell her that MuskieFIRST is sending me down there to do an article on how to survive in the cold with no food or water.

MAN, THIS SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![:(]

MuskieFIRST is now sending you, Ralph Florio, aka Musky Fever, MuskieFIRST pro-staffer to Lake Shelbyville. Though we do not make any promises to cover expenses incurred on your mission.....we do thank you very much for your willingness to take one for the team.

Not sure of the main lake temp, but just last week the crappie were practically jumping in the boat (heard from close sources).
Of course, you could leave the boat at home and fish the spillway. I got a call monday night from a member who is having three fish days down there and he's not spending all day to do it! He IS hooking up with more on average but just can't quite get them in (nets suck down there, it's best to boga them).
And of course, that is where the state record came from...something to keep in mind[;)]

Hey Jay,

Can you shoot me an email with the details of the Illinois Trail [email protected]
Also, any info on a CHEAP place to stay down there close to a ramp.

Thanks
