Anyone have any luck with the 'Deep Purple' pounder from Muskyshop? I like the looks of the bait, but it seems to become pretty see-through when in the water thus taking away from its large profile.

I don't fish them often, but I've gone 1 for 2 on that Dawg, so it will catch fish. One strike was in a clear lake and the other was fairly dirty. Cloudy conditions both days.

I have cut a few top hooks off until a week ago when I was up on the big V and caught a 51.5, when my buddy reached down in the net the only hook that was in it was the top hook, who knows it could of thrown the other ones when it thrashed in the net, if it did it still wasn't hooked that good and if that top hook was cut off I may have lost it. 2 days later my buddy caught a 50.25 on a figure 8 and when I netted it the only hook that was in that one was the top hook and I seen it slide in the bag both trebles where hanging.
