I finnally bit the bullet. I took Monica out to the deer woods with me on Friday, and at 9:00 had her get my lense cloth out of my pocket. she was a bit shocked to find her engagement ring attatched. 10 minutes later she was lucky enough to spot a shooter buck for me.

Gone(I think) are the days of 36-40 hour per week fishing summers and winters, DOGHHHHHH

Congrats Mr. Schillinger!!!!!

Hopefully your future wife won't do what mine did. My wife loved to hunt and fish.... until we got married. Once it was "official" she suddenly became a "fair weather" hunter and fisherwoman.

Either way, you look like a lucky man. Be proud and good luck!

Cool. Just remember, there are 3 rings involved in marriage:
the engagement ring
the wedding ring
the suffer-ring.

best wishes, m[]

Sweet Jason...these are the stories i like to hear. When i pick up too much slack about being a red neck from my wife, i just show here posts like this, then i have some room to breathe.[:halo:]

Well, you just made the catch of your life! No CPR on this one...she's a keeper. Congratulations! After 35 years of marriage, my wife lets me spend 4 months in Canada each year. Some wives understand.

You all think that fishin time will go down for Jason, well from what I know, and heard Monica say, Jason will have a hard time being able to get anyone else in the boat. After their week in Canada last summer I think he not only has partner for life, but a boat partner for life. I already told ya i person but congrats Jason, I'm happy for ya!!! You got something every guy dreams of a 50"er and a women who appreciates it as much as you!! You made a good choice in clubbin this keeper!!! See ya tonight.

thanks for the replys, she does too!!!! she actually had me looking for halls today instead of ice fishing(had to cut a few trees down for her too out of the yard). Yeah, that coat used to be my sisters, I think it could be replaced if she continues to go with me. My friend handyman has been ,married for awhile and his wife still treks north with him at will, I'm hoping Monica continues in her footsteps.

J-
Just happened to think of something. Now that she owns half of everything you own, better make sure you ask to use the whole boat next time you want to go fishing. Otherwise you may find out which half of the boat is yours.

Good luck in the future. I'm on 16 years myself.

Jason
Congrats to you. Treat her right and it won't change your time on the water or the woods at all. My wife's exact words are that she would rather me be on the lake all night than in a bar. She never tells me I can't fish as long as stuff around the house gets done, and she still manages to get in the boat with me once in a while too. After five years of marriage I logged more hours on the water than ever this season. Good luck to both of you!!

Marc, I joked with my best man about the same thing, he said he wanted my lure collection.

Norm, that is excactly what she has always told me, thanks!!!! She's always said she'd rather know I was fishing than not know.

Congrats Jason,
I wish you both the best in your marriage. You have a good thing being able to fish muskies with your wife. Just don't answer that question..."Does my butt look big in this life jacket?" Good luck...she will outfish you ya know.

Congrats, Reef Hawg! Just don't let the little lady Hawg tie with any of the superbraids. Make sure you behave and don't abuse your fishing privilleges or she might practice some CPR on you! In all seriousness, make a good life for yourselves! Best Wishes! []
